EndNote first asks you what EndNote LIBRARY you wish to open. After you select that library (the database you are working in), it will import the SciFinder files into it.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong – I’ve tried this with Endnote opened and closed – to no avail. A dialog box opens and asks what I want to open – and I cannot select the downloaded scholar.enw file. So sad!

Thanks for this very useful hint -
I thought already I would have to regret having switched to Mac (with Windows the direct export of references via EBSCO into the EndNote libary is also easily possible).

We are working on this currently. It seems that although BobCat is now on port 80, there is a very brief connection to our authentication server on port 8991. BobCat will be down for some critical maintenance until 11am, but you may try opening port 8991 and see if this works. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience.

Looks like we have a problem with Safari. We had previously tested it and it seemed to work fine. Thanks for the information. I will pass it along to our tech people. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the ideas but clearing the cache doesn’t seem to help. When I try to load the page “http://bobcat.nyu.edu” the address begins to load then changes to “http://www.bobcat.nyu.edu/primo_library/libweb/action/search.do?vid=NYU&fromLogin=true”

The load bar gets about half way and then just disappears and the browser is blank. This happens every time I try to load the page in safari but never with opera.
