In late 2006, NYU Libraries Business and Government Documents Center received a large collection of health policy related documents from the Partners for Health Reform Plus(PHRplus) Project. PHRplus was the U.S. Agency for International Development’s(USAID) flagship project in health policy and systems strengthening. This project continued the work of
Partners for Health Reform(PHR) in 2001 and is currently known as Health Systems 20/20. The collection contains health policy papers, project descriptions, and surveys published in the last twenty years. A majority of the documents concern health policy analysis and reform. There are policy reports, assessments, and recommendations about various issues in the healthcare sphere; reproductive health, disease prevention, and guide books on how best to implement, organize, and run a healthcare facility. Many of the documents are nation-specific and include health related reports and demographic surveys from such diverse countries as Zambia and China.
We are still in the process of preparing and cataloging the collection and look forward to having this valuable resource available for active research by fall 2007. Contact: Gretchen Gano, Librarian for Public
Administration and Government Information, 212-998-2662 for further information.
